Key findings

This study shows the difference of disadvantage of people with and without migration background in Germany. It further differentiates among people from Eastern and Western countries. The results of the survey show, that people with migration background tend to experience higher disadvantages in certain areas of life. These areas of life are divided in education facilities, job market, public offices and authorities, neighbourhood, religious practice, recreational activities, public transport and housing search. 41.9 % of people with migration background felt they experienced some sort of disadvantage in the listed areas of life, compared to 24.4 % of people without migration background. The three most often listed areas of life, where such a disadvantage occurred, were public offices and authorities, job market and public transport.
The difference between Eastern and Western states was deemed, with only 2 %, insignificant.

Methodology (Qualitative/Quantitative and exact type used, questionnaires etc)
